Tämä päivän pituinen workshop tarjoaa osallistujille tehokkaan koulutuksen vaikuttavien tarinoiden luomiseen ja käyttämiseen puheissa ja presentaatioissa.
Workshopin vetäjä Jay Heinrichs (USA) on aikamme tunnetuimpia retoriikkaguruja. Hänen klassikoksi muodostunut kirjansa Thank You For Arguing on myydyimpiä moderneja vaikuttamistaidon kirjoja maailmassa.
Tässä työpajassa hän antaa osallistujille konkreettiset työkalut yhteen väkevimmistä vaikuttamisen välineistä: tarinankerrontaan. Kuinka mukaansatempaavia tarinoita synnytetään? Kuinka käyttää tarinoita puheissa ja presentaatioissa ja saada aikaan haluttu vaikutus?
Vanajanlinnassa pidettävä workshop alkaa ilmoittautumisella ja aamukahvilla, jota on tarjolla klo 8.30 alkaen. Työskentely alkaa klo 9.00 ja jatkuu klo 16.00 asti. Workshopin kieli on englanti.
Storytelling in Speeches and Presentations
Cicero called narration the core of persuasion. How can we craft a narrative that grabs attention, makes our point, and sways the audience? In this daylong workshop, bestselling author and persuasion expert Jay Heinrichs will reveal the most effective ways to plot a tale, flesh out the details, and—most important—organize and time everything:
1. The day will begin…not at the beginning, but near the end of a speech. Participants will master an ancient technique for creating a powerful emotional summary—40 memorable words lasting 12 to 13 seconds when spoken.
2. We’ll build on that tool to practice an organizational method that Jay calls ”the Comet,” a compelling beginning followed by a great narrative.
3. Finally, we’ll all collaborate in deploying the ”beats” system that screenwriters use to craft dramatic and blockbuster films. The result: a fresh, cinematic approach to storytelling for speeches, presentations, essays, and op eds.
